Challenges
A challenge can be initiated by a player at any time during an active season but can only be sent or received by a player who’s READY to RACE switch is set to READY. Meaning, both the challenger and the defender must have their switches set to READY for the challenge to be started.
The challenger must select the playlist and the car for the challenge. Players/Teams are free to build the car however they want but it must be the same car for all players involved in the challenge.
Once the challenge is accepted by the defender, BOTH parties will be responsible for reporting the results of the challenge. Results must be reported within 2 hours of acceptance of the challenge.
IF NO RESULTS ARE REPORTED BY EITHER PARTY: the challenge is deleted and it’s as if it never existed.
IF ONLY 1 PLAYER REPORTS RESULTS: the player who reported the results will be awarded a WIN by forfeit (+2 Rep) and the player who did not report will be penalized with a LOSS by forfeit (-10 Rep).
IF THE PLAYERS REPORT INCONSISTENT RESULTS: Challenge Status is set Unverified.
IF MATCHING RESULTS ARE REPORTED: The challenge is considered complete and player/team records will be updated.
Unverified Challenges - Players will have 2 options once a challenge has been set to a non verified status. They may re-enter the results or submit proof of results. If a player chooses to submit proof, they are required to provide visual evidence in the form of screenshot(s). The screenshot(s) must contain both players' EA IDs (gamer tags) as well as the race names(s) and obviously the finish times. All proof that is submitted is reviewed by a NFS Battles staff member for verification. Once the results have been verified the challenge status, each player’s reputation and the leaderboard will be updated.
